I know it's terrible and annoying to get this message over and over again when trying to use your Hikvision DVR, believe me I've been there and I know exactly the way it feels like, but you just need to work on two simple configuration to solve this problem, So, let's jump into this now. ‎Download apps by Hikvision Digital Technology Co.,Ltd, including iVMS-5060 HD, HIKMICRO Viewer, 海康嗨看云, and many more. The Hik-connect app is designed to work with Hikvision series DVRs, NVRs and IP cameras which support Cloud P2P function. It allows you to live view your cameras remotely. All you need to do is creating an account and adding device into the account, then you can enjoy the real-time video from cameras on a global scale.

I just got both a MacBook Pro and a LaCie 1TB Rugged Safe External Hard Drive just a few days ago. I just plugged in my external and I installed the needed software from the drive, restarted and the drive wasn't found in LaCie Safe Manager. I tried restarting the computer without the drive plugged in, with Firewire and USB, and then I even tried it on my PC -- which it worked on there. I was able to make an account onto the drive and put my finger prints and everything on the drive, but when I came back to the Mac it didn't work at all.


I can't say it's the drive itself because it worked on the PC. I don't Tried the Disk Utility and it's showing '999.91 GB LaCie' and then 'NO NAME' under it, but tabed over.


And help/suggestions?

First we need to check your Finder preferences and ensure external disks are set to mount to your desktop.

With the Flash Drive connected to the USB port of your computer:

1. Click Finder in the upper left corner of the screen and select Preferences
2. Ensure the check box next to External disks is checked

If the Finder preferences are set to mount external drives to the desktop we will need to determine if the USB flash drive is detected by the computer

1. Double click the MAC HDD
2. Double click Applications
3. Double Click Utilities
4. Select System Information
5. On the left side selectUSB

If you see Flash Drive listed under the USB hub the USB flash drive is detected properly. You can verify is the drive is mounted by Selecting 'Go > Go to folder' from the file menu and typing /Volumes/ (Note: This is case sensitive). This will open the mount point for all drives connected to the Mac computer. You should see the drive mounted here.

If the USB flash drive is not listed under USB hub please verify other USB devices work properly and if possible test the USB flash drive using a different computer.If the USB flash drive is not detected on other computers or if other USB devices are working properly on this Mac then most likely the USB drive is not functional.
